Look right!
Um *in best tour bus operator voice, with bonus distortion*, so here we have Zoe's writing space. On our right is the much-vaunted wall o' tomes and her Great Notebook of Chaos....
And, if you'll look left, you'll see the portal to the
And, right chere, an oldie but a goodie: my letterless keyboard, once again on display for a FINAL (or, yanno, not so final because my spiffy new LED keyboard isn't here yet) SHOWING!
So, I lurves my little writing nook because A) there are arches. Dude. Everyone needs arches. B) there's an entire WALL o books breathing at me from the right. And C) it's where Wampa, my fluffy-little-yeah-he's-cute-and-all-but-the-little-fucker-can't-kill-a-spider-to-save-his-LIFE Wampa, hangs out all a-purr for most of the day.
As does Little Face, who's all legs in this photo, cuz he's busy STANDING ON TOP OF THE BACK OF MY CHAIR and yanking me off balance. (No, seriously. It sucks when the stocky little bugger leaps up and WALLOPS the chair with his considerable weight.)
Anyway, so I'll leave you with what you've been DYING for: MORE WAMPA!
WITH his Wampa!:
Anyone else sharing their authorial type places today???

LOL Fun post!
Cute kitties! I move around so much in the house while I write that I don't have a particular place. :(
I love your cute Wampa! And his little Wampa. Too bad the inanimate one is the only one that won't make me sneeze. *achoooo!*
Zoe - you were the FIRST to comment on my shiny new blog AND you share my oldest kitteh's name AND you write horror. ::tears of joy:: LOVE your writing space and your beautiful kittehs and your writing style. You has a new fan.
I, too, slobber all over your shelves. Sorry about that. It doesn't usually stain.
When I first read your name I thought it was Zoe C. Courtesan, and I was thinking damn! But your real name is very nice as well, if a little less historical-romancey.
WAMPA ADORBS
Hey, Stephanie! lol - thanks for sharing in the fun!
Alleged - that doesn't matter. What matters is that you're WRITING. You write whereever it comes easiest!
Lol, Joann. I thought the same thing when you posted about APT PUPIL. We're new blog besties!! [hugs]
That's okay, Lucy, you can slobber on my shelves. I think they're pretty awesome, too. Ooh, now I have a pen name that I could use if ever I begin to write erotica! lol, thanks!!
OH MY GOD THE REJECTIONIST JUST COMMENTED ON MY BLOG. *hyperventilates*
Oh, uh...sorry. Hi, and thanks for commenting, Rejectionist!
LOL I came here from your tweet which was so funny, I had to see the blog and the comment! I'm glad I did because I LOVE to see where people write. How weird is that? And I also love photos of stacks of books! Your cat is cute :)
Thanks, Karen. Isn't it funny how we come to revere those industry professionals who hang out with us from time to time?? lol. :D Thanks for stopping in!!
I am jealous of your wall of books. Its a dream of mine to have a home where I may have a Wall of Books, stuff floor to ceiling with all the books I grew up on and that inspire me to write today.
Wampa is one pretty cat.
haha! I might just do this on Monday! Great to see your writing space! :o)
Oooh... you can write next to your books!
I'm working on matching your keyboard. I figure when I've worn all the letters off I'll be a real touch typist at last. My seventh grade typing teacher would be so proud.
Wow a fireplace & wall of books! That must be heavenly to write with the sound of a crackling fire in the background.
I'm in awe of those bookcases! I love seeing other's writing spaces :)
Not today but eventually! I think there should be a writing space blog chain. I have books in every room of my place so I'm surrounded no matter where I go. But I don't always type at my desk. Sometimes I write in the kitchen, sometimes on the couch. I'm all over because I don't have a great chair yet. I need a great chair.
Being of high hopes and low tech, I have no digital camera with which to show you my den of dreams. Sandra, my best friend, says I live in a combination library/movie lobby.
I have five bookcases in my apartment. One stretches the complete length of my front room. On the walls are autographed movie posters of the movies which touched me :
3 from THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING, 1 from THE TWO TOWERS, THE GIFT, GLADIATOR, PULP FICTION, BATMAN BEGINS, TITANIC, SHERLOCK HOLMES, THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, GRAN TORINO, ARMY OF DARKNESS, THE MUMMY, and STAR TREK - the first movie from way back light years ago.
Anyway, I write in the back of the front room with Gypsy, my own version of Wampa. No play toy for her. I'm her slave, that's all she needs. And laser tag, of course.
Haha! I could look at pics of that silly cat all day!!! Wampa!
I think I saw some letters on that keyboard!
Nice to see my felines aren't the only ones waging an anti-literacy campaign by interfering with writing activites. The condo has helped thwart them a little bit; just now she jumped up, sniffing at my lap (the best way to blockade the keyboard), but chose the condo instead. Yay! I can finish my article!
Great writing area - love the wall of books and the kitty!
Wow, I want your bookshelf, and a crit partner like Wamp. :D
hehe, he's so cuuuute!! WAMPA!!!! :D
The E and T keys on my keyboard are rather worn. I'm not sure why. It's a pre-owned laptop -- maybe the previous owner wrote frequent and furious manifestos decrying our impending alien overlords, and had to type the technical term "E.T." a lot. I don't know. It's only those keys though, so it has to be something. (It's not me! I welcome them, etc.)
I love the mood of your writing area. I can see how horror could arise from your writing nook with the arches and the wall of books! (I mean that in a good way!) And your cats are just as cute as they can be.
Oh my gosh! That bookshelf is awesome!!! How cool is that? Plus your cat is so fluffy! I love it. =)
Looks like a great space...no wonder you get so much great writing done. =)
Dammit, that is such an awesome name for that cat.
Your writing space really makes me miss my old library/studio in my old house. Right now, my writing space is a kitchen chair in the middle of the front room. Bah.
I'm intrigued to see what you think of your new keyboard!
coolios, zoe :)
what size/kind monitor is that?
I'm away on vacation in Maine...the land of almost no internet and NO cell phone service (therefore haven't been around the blogosphere in weeks, but we'll be heading home on the 12th), so I apologize for just getting here to see this post today. I love your writing space, but I LOVE WAMPA!! I have cat envy because I'm terribly allergic. But I do have my sweet bichon (dog breed) Boo at my writing feet at all times.
I'll post a picture when I get home.
I hope you had a fabulous holiday weekend and maybe even blew some stuff up.
Love and pyrotechnics,
Lola
Love the wall of books! My "dream" writing space has always looked like a cozy library, with bookshelves on every wall. I posted not long ago about my own writing station.
Tell Wampa not to feel too bad about losing to spiders. When Sasquatch and Jagular detected a mouse under my refrigerator, they cocked their heads, sniffed, and wandered off to take a nap. We had to buy mousetraps.
Mousetraps! In a house with two cats!! The shame of it!!
awww! So cute!
I don't really have a set writerly palce right now. Typically it's either the couch with my laptop or my work office.
